55MStreet

Located in close proximity to Capitol Hill and the Washington Navy Yard, 55 M Street is a 9-story, 275,000 square foot Class A office building which serves as the flagship development of the Capitol Riverfront Business Development District.

The facade includes over 50,000 square feet of unitized ribbon window and curtain wall, terracotta and aluminum composite rain screen systems, and stainless steel clad monumental entrance systems.

In early 2007, Tidewater Glazing was awarded a design assist contact to work with Davis Carter Scott on the integration of a terracotta rain screen system with the unitized curtain wall features. The contract required Tidewater to control the GMP while exercising design flexibility in the building’s architecture. Ultimately, the project was delivered on time and well under budget.
